Physical therapy is a key part of sports medicine that helps restore strength, flexibility, and mobility. It combines targeted exercises, manual therapies, and modalities for lasting recovery.
Epidural steroid injections target inflammation and pain, particularly in the back, to provide quick relief. By reducing swelling around irritated nerves, these injections allow you to engage more comfortably in your rehabilitation program, helping speed up recovery.
Chiropractic care relieves pain by aligning the spine and joints and improving overall posture. By addressing misalignments, it reduces pressure on nerves, alleviates discomfort, and promotes natural healing, helping you get back to your routine with less pain and stiffness.
The connective tissue matrix (CTM) consists of collagen and elastin fibers, proteoglycans, and glycoproteins. These components in our muscles, ligaments, and tissues assist in nutrient transport, repair, and other metabolic processes. As a type of regenerative medicine, CTM can be injected at the injury site to promote healing and long-term recovery.

A common misconception is that sports medicine is exclusively for athletes. In reality, many patients are not competitive athletes but suffer from acute or chronic injuries caused by physical activity, exercise, or their occupation.
Expect your sports medicine doctor to review your medical history, do a physical examination, and possibly order diagnostic imaging. The doctor will ask about your symptoms, previous treatments, and the activities that may have caused or triggered your injury.
Sports medicine emphasizes proper form and technique to lower the risk of injuries. A sports medicine doctor educates patients on recognizing signs of overuse or stress, encouraging rest and recovery before more serious issues develop.
Yes, sports medicine is effective in managing chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, tendonitis, and repetitive strain injuries. These treatments aim to improve function and alleviate discomfort.
Dr. Yezak is amazing as well as his entire staff!
It was great working with everybody the while staff took time working with you and everyone was friendly they made me feel a part of. Definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs treatment.
My experience was great and it wasn’t. Dr Lee is amazing and very informative and cares for your well being. Dr Brett talks to you here and there to make sure everything is okay throughout your session and does recommend things for you when it comes to your strength and what you can do. I do feel like the place is a little understaffed. There is no assigned therapist which doesn’t make it feel personable and caring. All the therapist are nice though! Sometimes I would sit and wait for whichever therapist was assigned to me to finish with another client during my session. Other than that, they did help me with my mobility and they were very patient with me. I do like that they do share exercises with you that you can do at home which helped me tremendously.
Dr.Yezak & his staff are second to none when it comes to sport medicine, physical therapy & pain management!!! They also have a state of the art facility!!! to nurse you back to health!!! I will continue to refer friends & family to his practice!!!
Each visit was better than the previous in that all therapy received increased mobility, lessened pain and strengthened the area of my back that is in distress. The staff is very caring and on top of therapy recommended and therapy given. I have recommended this group to several of my friends who have similar issues.
